Disappointments, Disappointments

I can't believe I'm still not used to this.

Major (pain in the ass) week next week:

1) AF week. We were only able to get 2 sponsors. Correction: I was only able to get 2 sponsors. I feel so incompetent.

2) Math exams - and I repeat, EXAMS - next week. 3rd long exam on tuesday, midterms on saturday. DAMN.

3) THE BAGUIO TRIP. I cannot believe my stupidity. We were to leave on friday night and would return on sunday night (?) to document Teacher's Camp. I was so excited about it and was willing not to go to Meriendahan (which was moved to thursday anyway so I could go to both) when I very recently realized that I have MATH MIDTERMS on saturday! Stupid exam that can't be moved. *sigh*

4) Arch 6 presentation. Arch 21 presentation. Both on Monday, same prof. The prof that walked out during our consultation (ahem, insultation?) because our plate was crap (which is true, actually). Oh goodie.

5) Physics. 'Nuff said.

6) Back to AF week. I swear, the admin is so annoying lately. How the hell do we fix everything if they haven't approved the letters for, well, everything??? And it's freaking next week! And the tarp... and the fieldtrip... and the money... @_@ *PANIC ATTACK*

7) *STILL HAVING PANIC ATTACK*

8) I think I'd better sleep on it.

-------

Well, on the bright side, LAMANGAN AT LOOBAN is tomorrow. *hurrah!* I really, TRULY hope that the 2-hour applicant's presentation will be a hit. I mean, they've been practicing every night this week. We'll just see then. *evil grin*

AND a couple of orgmates and I will go to Batangas tomorrow to find out where we can go for the fieldtrip. *hurrah!* It's an overnight thing. Mini-break. Too bad Sandra and my parents will come along. -_-

A friend of my was crying rivers earlier. Damn men. Why the hell do they make the lives of women so complicated??? Hindi ko talaga maintindihan kung bakit kailangan pa ng mga ganyan. Ah, the rigors of dealing with the upper class.

WOW. What a great way to show how you care. *smirk* Basted ka lang eh... kailangan mo pa ng tulong mula sa iyong mga babaeng kaibigan. DUWAAAAG!!! PIKON!

AF WEEK!

Architecture Forum Week has officially ended!

*torotot and confetti* *hurrah!*

I'm glad that it was successful. All that planning, calling up sponsors and last minute panic attacks paid off. :D Images was a little late but the pictures were great. Symposium was a hit, and lolo won in the asintahan on wednesday. Meriendahan was a happy affair on thursday night and the fieldtrip was very interesting, especially in Tagaytay. I don't know about the apps but I did enjoy a part of it. *grins evilly*

Hay. Sa wakas.

And now, I shall concentrate on acads. Grabe, sobrang napabayaan ko ang acads. 'Di bale, babawi nalang ako. Quoting Normaine, "AY! Carry yan!"

Tama. Carry. :D

CONGRATS TO AF!!!!!

(next episode: Arki week and Hiyas... MWAHAHAHA!)

Hiyas, Baguio, and Sleep

My brain hurts. I think I slept too much today. Do you think 16 hours of sleep is too much? *thinks*

I guess I was just dead tired from the Baguio trip. It was totally fun though. Well, hmmm... maybe I should start with the Hiyas ng Arki event last Friday.

Hiyas ng Arki - a highly anticipated annual beauty contest where (supposedly) straight guys are chosen as representatives from each org and are dressed up as girls. Bloody hilarious! This year, Kim and Jon (applicants) were chosen as AF's rep. In all fairness, they were both soooo pretty! Then again, it may have something to do with the stage mothers, Anj, Jika, Denise, Maebs, and Agnes. Career mode.

Well, the event started a little late, as is the usual practice in the Philippines. The theme was Arkintadia (from the show Enkantadia) and Norman, my beloved gay friend, was the host of the show. It was a huge success! I even fell on the floor once or twice for laughing so hard. I swear, the contestants were really into their role. They were all brilliant, with the talent portion, the evening gown, etc. etc. The Asaphil representative won though. Oh well, I figured he would win. Bibbo kasi. hehe! There's always next time, Kim and Jon. :D

(Medyo natatakot lang ako para kay Kim. Feeling ko matutuluyan na yun... feel na feel talaga niya ang pagiging babae! *sigh* Too bad.)

Well after the Hiyas, there were some serious dancing... yada yada...

Shit, I don't really feel like giving a blow by blow account about Baguio. I'll just sketch out an outline:

- took a shower in bldg 1's bathroom after the dancing. It would be really disgusting to sit for hours inside the bus feeling all sweaty and sticky.

- left Manila at around 12:00. Arrived at Baguio at around 5am. 5 FRIGGIN HOURS! I swear, the driver races buses for a living.

- ate breakfast at Chowking and started the sketching and the measuring at around 9am.

- went to SM for lunch break. Went back and slept for a while (it was so darned cold) and resumed work 'till 5.

- the guys took a shower and we all trooped down to Chowking (again) to eat dinner.

- this is where the fun began: Red Box. First time I saw and finished a huge mug of beer equivalent to three bottles. THAT'S a lot of beer. @_@

- transferred the party back to where we were staying and some Arki alumni who live in Baguio came over. I took a cold bath, had a couple of shots and slept early... around 1. The others were up 'till 4. Party animals.

- people woke up late and some of us went ahead and started on the second cabin. Stopped at around 12 and went to Diego's aunt's house to eat lunch. That was one helluva house! Really beautiful and grand. They even have an elevator! So cool. And the food was superb. Turns out that it was the grandparent's wedding anniv. the night before and there were lots of leftovers. We were only too happy to eat it for them.

- from there, we went straight to the station, bought a couple of last minute pasalubong and went home.

All in all, it was quite a fun trip. Too bad one annoying phone call from my dad at the end of the day ruined the whole thing for me. I hate it when that happens. Only my family can affect me like that. Such a bummer.

OH well. It's a good thing that today's a holiday.
